Pean Integrated School of Parañaque (PISP) has a rich history that dates back to 1978. The school, which was formerly known as Pean Children’s House, began as a tutorial center founded by Angelina Yuzon Santos. The tutorial center provided educational services to students in the Parañaque community.
In 1985, Pean Children’s House expanded its services and started offering pre-school education. Two years later, in 1987, the school officially opened its pre-school level. The school continued to grow and develop over the years, and in 1999, the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports granted Pean Children’s House permission to operate its elementary levels. As a result, the school’s name was changed to Pean Academy.
In 2013, Angelina Yuzon Santos decided to give the full management of the school to her children. The new management team recognized the need for new services and decided to expand the school’s offerings. As a result, the school’s name was changed to Pean Integrated School of Parañaque, Inc. (PISP).
Under the new management, PISP has continued to grow and expand its facilities and school programs. The school’s academic programs have proven to be effective,
as evidenced by the high percentile rankings of former students who have entered various exclusive schools and scholarship grants.
The name “Pean” has a special meaning to the school’s founder, Angelina Yuzon Santos. She described the voices of the children as an expression or song of joy or praise, which led to the name “Pean.”
Today, PISP is a respected educational institution that provides quality education to students in the Parañaque community and beyond. The school’s mission is to develop students who are academically competent, socially responsible, emotionally mature, and equipped to contribute meaningfully to society.
