As the accredited Civil Society Organization (CSO) representative for Parañaque’s business sector, PCCI Parañaque actively participates in key local committees—including the Local Development Council, Investment Board, and Disaster Risk Reduction Council—advocating for pro-business policies, sustainable growth, and resilient economic recovery while ensuring MSME voices shape city governance.
As a member of the Parañaque City Awards Committee, our Chamber is currently participating in the 2026 Lupon Tagapamayapa Incentives and Awards (LTIA) assessment. This evaluation of the barangay justice system included the Final Calibration of Winners, held between March 2 and March 5, which covered the performance of Barangays Sun Valley, San Martin de Porres, and Baclaran.

The LTIA aims to recognize outstanding Lupon Tagapamayapa members who exemplify excellence in dispute resolution and community peacekeeping. By participating in this process, PCCI-Parañaque supports the city’s commitment to strengthening barangay justice. A peaceful, orderly community is the foundation of a stable, thriving business environment, promoting an efficient, community-based conflict-resolution system for all.
Our Chamber, together with the Local Monitoring Committee (LPMC) members, monitored the projects and programs of local government units (LGUs) last April 25, 2025, at Barangay Sto Niño, Parañaque City. This aims to ensure that all programs, projects, services, and activities undertaken by local government units (LGUs) are implemented efficiently, effectively, and with transparency.
PCCI-Paranaque is actively participating in the Composite Validation and Assessment Task Team formed by the city government to evaluate the performance of barangays in road clearing operations, clean-up initiatives, and the HAPAG program. The CVATT is responsible for developing evaluation criteria, conducting on-site inspections, and providing recommendations to improve barangay performance. PCCI-Paranaque's participation in representing the Civil Society Organization in the task force is expected to contribute to the creation of a cleaner, safer, and more business-friendly Paranaque City.
Our Chamber, led by President Marc Alain Ong, recently took its seat at the Local School Board meeting on February 24, 2026. Earlier today, March 5, Our chamber, led by President Marc Alain Ong and represented by Secretary General, Mr. Elfred Lope, participated in the 1st Quarter Regular DRRMC Meeting presided over by Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez. The council presented a transparent report on the utilization of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund, showing a strong focus on both preparation and rapid response:
Prevention & Mitigation: Over ₱363 Million (84.05%) utilized for long-term safety projects.
Quick Response Fund: 99.96% readiness in fund allocation to ensure the city can act immediately when emergencies strike.

Through its active participation in the CDC, PCCI-Parañaque demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering a thriving business environment in Parañaque City. The Chamber, under the leadership of President Rene Vincent Torralba, and represented by Secretary General Elfred Lope as a member of the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), demonstrated its commitment to gender equality and inclusive development by participating in the Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Workshop for 2026.
The event was held at the Kingsford Hotel in Tambo, Parañaque City. The workshop, a crucial step in formulating the city's GAD plan for 2026, aimed to gather insights and perspectives from various stakeholders, including government agencies, CSOs, and the private sector.
PCCI-Parañaque's presence underscored the importance of integrating gender considerations into business practices and contributing to a more equitable economic landscape.
The workshop facilitated discussions on key GAD issues, including women's economic empowerment, access to resources, and the elimination of gender-based discrimination. Participants engaged in collaborative planning sessions, identifying priority areas and formulating strategies to address existing challenges. PCCI-Parañaque's active participation highlights its dedication to:
Promoting Gender Equality through Entrepreneurship: Supporting initiatives that provide gender equality with access to training, funding, and mentorship opportunities.

Our Chamber, represented by Secretary-General Elfred Lope, attended the Formulation of Annual Investment Plan for 2025 last May 21-22, 2024. Sec Gen Elfred Lope also presented on behalf of the CSOs the proposed programs and projects to the concerned departments of the City.
Our chamber (PCCI-Paranaque) headed by President Rene Vincent Torralba, and represented by Sec Gen Elfred Lope participated during the Paranaque Local Government Unit's (LGU) Annual Investment Planning and Approval for cy 2025, held last June 26-28, 2024, at The Manor, Camp John Hay, Baguio City. This event served as a platform for collaboration between the public and private sectors in crafting the investment plan for Paranaque for the year 2025. This participation as one of the accredited Civil Society Organizations in Paranaque demonstrates the chamber's Plans and programs of the LGU to the Business community and working with the LGU in shaping a business-friendly environment that fosters economic growth and development in the city.
