PCCI-Paranaque, one of the accredited Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Parañaque, recently attended a CSO Consultation held on August 11, 2025. This important gathering, conducted by Councilor Shanine Olivarez, was designed to help and provide knowledge to the various groups and members within the City of Parañaque.

Our chamber, a voice for the local business community, has taken a significant step in strengthening civic participation in Parañaque City. The chamber, led by President Rene Vincent Torralba, was represented by Secretary General Mr. Elfred Lope, who recently submitted a Draft Ordinance for the creation of a CSO Peoples Council in Parañaque. In addition to the draft ordinance, Mr. Lope also submitted the necessary CSO Accreditation Requirements to the office of the Committee on Accreditation.

Our Chamber, a Civil Society Organization (CSO) accredited in Parañaque, will participate in Session 2 of the 2025 "Ugnayan Series" last August 15, 2025. The session, titled "Extreme Heat and Extreme Rainfall: Understanding the Two Sides of Urban Climate in NCR," will focus on the dual challenges of climate change affecting the National Capital Region. The training aims to provide CSOs, LGU's and other sectors with a deeper understanding of urban climate phenomena, including the impacts of extreme weather events on communities and infrastructure.

This significant development took place during a meeting led by Councilor Shanine Olivarez-Bernardo, the Committee Chairman on Accreditation.

Held under the timely theme, "Enabling Growth through Forex: Empowering Parañaque Businesses with Seamless Payment Solutions," the event provided invaluable insights and fostered crucial connections aimed at bolstering the city's economic landscape.

Our chamber, led by President Rene Vincent Torralba and represented by Secretary General, Mr. Elfred Lope, has officially renewed its accreditation as a Civil Society Organization (CSO) in Parañaque City. This significant milestone was achieved last August 28, 2025, with the approval of Draft Resolution No. 078, Series of 2025, by the Parañaque City Council. The resolution formally grants accreditation to a list of CSOs, recognizing their vital role in local governance and development and solidifying our chamber's position as a trusted partner in shaping the city's future.
